Our build process

Most custom builds follow a four-week sprint:

• Week 1 — Discovery and prompt engineering. We map your existing workflow, identify the agent’s job, and write the SOUL document. Compliance rails are documented up-front.
• Week 2 — Tool integration and prototyping. MCP server connections to your existing systems (CRM, calendar, ticketing, knowledge base, internal databases). First working prototype delivered.
• Week 3 — Pilot run with human review. Agent processes real work behind a human approval gate. We tune the prompt, escalation rules, and edge-case handling.
• Week 4 — Production hardening and handoff. Logging, monitoring, alerting, documentation. We deliver runbooks and HEARTBEAT dashboards.

Tech stack we work in

• LLMs: Claude (Anthropic), GPT-4 / GPT-5 (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Llama and Mistral for self-hosted needs
• Voice: Vapi (primary), Bland.ai, ElevenLabs for synthesis
• Workflow orchestration: n8n (self-hosted), Make.com, Zapier where appropriate
• Tool access: MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers — we build custom MCP wrappers around your internal APIs
• Vector databases: Pinecone, Weaviate, Supabase pgvector for RAG pipelines
• Self-hosting: Ollama and LMStudio for clients who require on-prem inference

Engagement models

• Project-based build: Fixed-fee engagement, 4-12 weeks, deliverables specified up front. Best for one-off agents.
• Build + Manage: We build the agent, then run it for you on a monthly retainer. Includes monitoring, prompt updates, and incident response.
• Hybrid build + transfer: We build, run for 90 days, then transfer to your team with documentation and training. Best for clients with internal AI capability.

Pricing ranges

• Simple custom agents: $5,000–$12,000 build fee + optional $1,500-$4,000/month management
• Multi-system integrations: $12,000–$35,000 build fee + $3,000-$8,000/month management
• Enterprise builds (SOC 2, HIPAA, on-prem): $35,000–$120,000+ build fee + $8,000-$20,000/month

Compliance

Every custom build includes documented compliance posture appropriate to the use case — TCPA for any outbound voice or SMS, HIPAA + BAA for healthcare, FERPA for education, PCI-scope review for ecommerce, GDPR/CCPA/CPRA for international or California traffic. We do not deploy bots that operate outside their compliance envelope.
